Arnold, CA...Stop by Calaveras Humane Society's Thrift Store Cat Adoption Center in Arnold, located in Meadowmont Center next to Big Trees Market (Phone 209-795-GIVE). Mr. Bojangles will be there to meet you, along with several other kitties! We will also have kitties available at our Angels Camp Adoption Center, located in Angels Town Center (240 S. Main St./Hwy 49). Due to Christmas, both adoption centers will be CLOSED ON THURSDAY and will open the day after Christmas. The Arnold Adoption Center will be open Fri. & Sat.,10 am–5 pm this week. The Angels Camp Adoption Center will be open Fri. & Sat.,11 am–5 pm. Merry Christmas from Calaveras Humane Society!

| Angels Camp, CA...The runaway juvenile, Crystal Houle, that was reported on 12/17/14 has been located and returned home. On 12/21/14, at approximately 1030 AM, Sacramento Police Department notified the Angels Camp Police that the vehicle Houle was driving was located, and that they were attempting to locate Houle. A short time later Sacramento PD called back to report that an officer located Houle at an address in Sacramento. Houle was initially released to the custody of Sacramento County Child Protective Services, as is normal procedure, and her mother was notified and responded to Sacramento to pick up Houle and bring her home.... |

San Andreas, CA...December 16 2014 the Calaveras County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously to adopt a resolution dedicating 6.93 acres of Calaveras County owned property for development of the Calaveras County Animal Services. This acreage will be leased to the Calaveras Humane Society to design and fund a New Animal Shelter....
