Angels Camp, CA...Stop by the Calaveras Humane Society's Thrift Store/Cat Adoption Center in Angels Camp, located in Angels Town Center at 240 S. Main St./Hwy 49, open Thurs/Fri, 10am–5pm, and Saturday, 11am–5pm. Pixley will be there to meet you, along with a few other exceptionally marvelous kitties who you absolutely must meet! Cat availability has decreased until kitten season, so our Arnold Adoption Center will be CLOSED this week. If you want to meet some kitties, Angels Camp is the place to be! The kitties hope to see you there!
Only Minor Injuries To Murphys Man After Going Off Hwy 49 Bridge

San Andreas, CA...A 24 year old Murphys Man was driving his 2001 Dodge Ram in the Southbound traffic lane of State Route 49 at approximately 55 MPH when, for an unknown reason, he allowed his Ram to travel to the left and across the northbound traffic lane. The Dodge then struck the wood/concrete bridge railing. His pickup traveled through the railing and off the bridge, struck and came to rest upon the south bank of San Antonio Creek.

Steve and his wife Courtney are from Murphys and have strong roots in our community. Steve has lived in Calaveras County for 37 years. His wife Courtney is the Athletic Secretary for Bret Harte High School where they are both graduates. The Brooksher's have a 23 year old son Zach who is a recent graduate of CSUMB in Monterey.

The first position available is for someone who is an intermediate (skill level I) in welding and would like to enhance their skills while learning on the job. The second position is for someone who is advanced (skill level III) in 7018, dual shield welding and currently certified. They must have at least 2 years of experience in structural welding, fit-up, and plan reading. Both positions must be able to operate equipment safely and work well with a team.
