Reggie Jackson is coming to Angels March 20th for a Community Fundraiser in Memory of Alex and Macaila Marshall.

Angels Camp, CA...Bret Harte will host "Play it Forward" a baseball event and game with Argonaut on Wednesday, March 20, in Angel's Camp. “Mister October” will be making a March appearance next Wednesday when Reggie Jackson is scheduled to join the Bret Harte baseball team for their season’s first home game. Mr. Jackson will be sitting in place of Alex Marshall, a Bret Harte player who, together with his younger sister Macaila, died in early February. Reggie Jackson, a longtime friend of Alex's and Macaila's Mother, Seanie Marshall, will wear Alex's #15 jersey. Bret Harte ASB student activities director and varsity head coach, Zach Abernathy, says; "Seanie's goal is to bring the community together in kinda an old school baseball theme and raise money for Bret Hart programs."

Angels Camp, CA...Here are the results from the Bret Harte vs. Amador and Argonaut swim meet this past Friday. The first league meet of the year for each team. GIRLS: Bret Harte 116 Argonaut 24, Bret Harte 97 Amador 51. BOYS: Bret Harte 75 Argonaut 90, Bret Harte 102 Amador 50. The Bret Harte Girls team took first place in all three relay events. For standout individual events, Bethanni Riedel took first in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:18.71, and Jessica Moore took first in the 100 breastroke with a time of 1:31.72....

Angels Camp, CA...Last Monday night CAMPS Restaurant at Greenhorn was as full as you will ever see it. Table after table overflowed with friends, constituents, former colleagues, on had to celebrated an incredible career in public service for Retired Supervisor Tom Tryon. For 7 terms Tom Represented his district and did it well. His greatest pride is seeing what Murphys has developed into. The Libertarian Supervisor saw Murphys as a prime example of creating an environment were capital and investment can thrive with as little restrictions from Government as possible. Tom was not afraid to takes stands on principal and some of his comments from the bench before votes were mini civics lessons. The rancher exterior hid from immediate view the mind that was trained at UC Berkley in Economics....
