San Andreas, CA...Mark Twain Medical Center (MTMC) will be holding its 16th Annual Fall Health Fair on Saturday, September 27th from 7am to noon on the Hospital Campus in San Andreas. “Hosting our community health fairs allows us to express our gratitude to those that entrust us with their health care needs,” said Craig Marks, Hospital President. “Our health fairs benefit individuals that are underserved or working towards maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Our providers and staff are here to share preventative care and health maintenance tips. Providing affordable health care services is one way we serve our community. This is a joint effort with many other entities working together, especially the Health Care District that helps fund this initiative, to ensure that Calaveras County residents can thrive in a healthy community.”

Angels Camp, CA...On Saturday, October 25,2014, the Calaveras County Garden Club will host their annual Holiday Craft Faire from 10:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. at the Calaveras County Fairgrounds, Mark Twain Hall. Unique and creative hand crafted items will be featured by more than 50 vendors. Items for sale include garden art, jewelry, woodwork, pottery, decorative gourds, quilts, art pieces, beautiful photos, angel and pine cone ornaments, lotions and soaps,copper clad dishes, crocheted plastic grocery bags, and much more....

Arnold, CA...Stop by Calaveras Humane Society's Thrift Store Adoption Center in Arnold, located in Meadowmont Center next to Big Trees Market (Phone 209-795-GIVE). open THURS.–SAT., 10 am–5 pm. Mikey and his siblings will be there, along with several other sweeties! We will also have kitties available at our Angels Camp Adoption Center, located in Angels Town Center (240 S. Main St./Hwy 49, Thurs.-Sat., 11 am–5 pm). Our "Black Cat-a-thon" is currently underway. All blacks, tuxedos, and tortoiseshells are on special at a reduced adoption rate during the month of September. Stop by one or both adoption centers and meet the kitties!

The JV game against Mountain House on Friday, September 19th will take place as scheduled at Bret Harte and will begin at 5:30pm...
