Angels Camp, CA...The Paws & Claus event where our local and visiting furry friends could get a little Santa Time was held on November 30th of this year. We would like to thank Sissy Hedrick for sharing the photo of Cleo, Romulas, Sara, Winston, Elwood and of course Santa. The Calaveras Humane Society event has become an annual tradition for animal lovers in our area...

Local Schools Help The Food Bank |

Angels Camp, CA...In an effort to provide a donation to the Resource Connection Food Bank, the Calaveras County Office of Education reached out to county schools asking for donations of canned and non-perishable food items. We received generous donations from Kathi Grover’s class at Albert Michelson School, Jacey Bray’s class at Bret Harte High School, and Jane Ferguson’s class at Mountain Oaks School. We wish to thank them as well as Bret Harte Leadership students Sean Krpan and Brandon Kelly, Calaveras River Academy students Mike Vasco, Alex Mooshi, and Austin Underhill for helping us build a canned food tree in our lobby. Because of the effort and generosity of these individuals and all others involved in the food drive, CCOE was able to make a sizeable donation to the food bank this holiday season...
