The Angels Camp Commemorative Committee is the group that came together to organize the City's celebrations of its 100th anniversary of incorporation in 2012 and the 165th anniversary of its founding in 2013. Last year, under the wings of the Angels Camp Business Association, we organized the old-fashioned Fourth of July Picnic in Utica Park, the September 29th Street Fair on Main Street, the American flags for Main Street, an antique car rally and the Centennial Gazette newspaper...
New Melones Lake Activities for Spring 2013 Support the Department of the Interior’s Let’s Move Outside Initiative

Sonora, CA...The Bureau of Reclamation announces the spring interpretive programs at New Melones Lake. These Ranger-led activities support the Department of the Interior’s Let’s Move Outside initiative (http://www.letsmove.gov/lets-move-outside) which encourages children and their families to enjoy outdoor activities that abound in every city, town and community. All activities are free and suitable for all ages; most do not require reservations. Participants should wear sturdy shoes and clothing appropriate for the weather. A water bottle and sunscreen are recommended. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
