Copperopolis, CA...We would like to thank Andrea Silva for the great photos she passed along to us on the CABA Dinner at Panini's & the Grand Opening of Firefall Jewelers. Outgoing President Bill Troyanoski presided over the meeting and handled the introductions of the officers for 2009. Also speaking was Mike Panini on the upcoming opening of Panini's Italian Grill in December. The CABA Dinner was one of the first dinners held at the restaurant. The food was great and we are looking forward to many great dinners in Copper...

Frogtown, CA...Today we received a copy of a letter of resignation from the Board of Directors for the 39th District Agricultural Association to Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger from Mrs. June Downum. On behalf of the Board and staff of the Calaveras County Fair & Jumping Frog Jubilee we wish to sincerely thank Mrs. June Downum for her service to the 39th District Agricultural Association. As a board member Mrs. Downum always had the best intentions in her service to the Fair. Her love for the Calaveras County Fair & Jumping Frog Jubilee was obvious in her efforts and diligence. Columbia, CA....Jeffrey Zahniser, a Columbia College adjunct culinary instructor, recently earned the certified executive chef (CEC) designation from the prestigious American Culinary Federation (ACF). An honors graduate of The Culinary Institute of America, Zahniser was formerly the executive chef at the City Hotel in Columbia, owned and operated a catering company in Los Angeles, and served as executive chef for Wyndham Hotels in Southern California..... |

The Angels Camp Police Department's Crime Prevention Officer Kathy Maxwell gave a very nice presentation on what retail businesses can do to lower their risk of Holiday Crime. She talked about what are the favorite items to steal, what types of crimes are most prevalent including: Smash and Grab, Ram Raiding, Shoplifting, Burglary and more...
