A Time to Look Back as We Move Forward. The Federalist Papers Number Fourteen by Publius. Introduction by John Hamilton

Posted by: thepinetree on 03/20/2019 11:36 PM
Arnold, CA...Federalist Fourteen was written by James Madison and is "Objections to the Proposed Constitution From Extent of Territory Answered" and is below our intro and is available in an audio format if you click the image below. In our sharply politically divided country it may be time for us all to look back and reaffirm that our country really is a collection of ideas and ideals. The Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness that we all at times take for granted was hard fought and narrowly won. In the end our allegiance is not to a King, Dictator or Strong Man but too each other. One thing the founding fathers all agreed on was that human nature is subject to weakness and they took into account human frailties. They devised a system that has at many times protected us from man's and woman's worst enemy which is the reflection that stares back at us all from the mirror.

Posted by: thepinetree on 03/15/2019 12:25 PM
Washington, DC...The U.S. Congress proclaimed March as Irish-American Heritage Month in 1991, and the president issues a proclamation commemorating the occasion each year.  Originally a religious holiday to honor St. Patrick, who introduced Christianity to Ireland in the fifth century, St. Patrick’s Day has evolved into a celebration of all things Irish. The world’s first St. Patrick’s Day parade occurred on March 17, 1762, in New York City, featuring Irish soldiers serving in the English military. This parade became an annual event, with President Truman attending in 1948.

The Sky’s Not Falling By Congressman Tom McClintock

Posted by: thepinetree on 03/15/2019 04:48 PM
Washington, DC...Abraham Lincoln told the story of boarding with the family of a Presbyterian minister on the night of the greatest meteor shower ever recorded in North America. He was awakened by the minister who shouted, “Arise Abraham, for the heavens are falling and the day of judgment has arrived.” But Lincoln noticed that despite the hysteria around him and the chaos above him, he could still see the familiar constellations fixed in the sky, and he knew the world was not about to end.

Beto O'Rourke Officially Throws His Hat in 2020 Presidential Race

Posted by: thepinetree on 03/14/2019 02:09 PM
El Paso, TX..."I am running to serve this country as the next President of the United States. The challenges we face are the greatest in living memory. No one person can meet these challenges on their own. Only this country can do that, and only if we build a grassroots movement that includes all of us. It will be animated by an ambition for the country that recognizes that the obstacles we face will only be overcome by lifting each other up; that the opportunities before us will only be realized by overcoming the differences between us before they define us forever.

Posted by: thepinetree on 03/13/2019 12:14 PM
Chicago, IL...Boeing continues to have full confidence in the safety of the 737 MAX. However, after consultation with the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the U.S. National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), and aviation authorities and its customers around the world, Boeing has determined -- out of an abundance of caution and in order to reassure the flying public of the aircraft’s safety -- to recommend to the FAA the temporary suspension of operations of the entire global fleet of 371 737 MAX aircraft.
