The Calaveras County Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring the 6th Annual Mother Lode Bridal Faire to introduce Brides to all of the beautiful possibilities for weddings in and around the Mother Lode. Frogtown, CA...Saturday December 7th, 2013 9am-5:30pm. Calaveras Fairgrounds Mark Twain Building. Join us with for crafts, baked goods and Vendor items at this joyful event! All proceeds will be donated directly to Mark Twain's 6th. grade Science Camp Trip. There will also be silent auction and raffle items. We heard Santa just may make a visit to our little town that day! Crafts for kids, Food, and fun to be had by all!...

Frogtown, CA....Calaveras County Fair Voluntary, Beef Weigh-ins December 14, 2013. 9:00 a.m. - 10:30 p.m. There is also a Rate of Gain competition sponsored by the Calaveras Cattlemen's Association and Spence Ranch Feed & Supply. $10 entry fee. Also all market beef projects must be owned and managed by the exhibitor by December 14. The Calaveras County Fair and Frog Jump Jubilee is May 15-18, in 2014...

Over $26,000!!!!! Raised at Santa's Express Fundraiser at Frogtown |

Frotown, CA....Over $26,000 was raised Saturday night in an evening that showcased the generosity of Calaveras County and small town America. If you needed any additional reasons why this area is a wonderful area to live, it doesn't get any better than this. A quote from one of the organizers, Gna Galloway "Drumroll please.............last year, we did $15k in one night...this year...we surpassed that amount by over $10,000! Yes you read that right....we, as a community, raised over $26,000!!!!!!!! We are blown away by the support we have continued to receive year after year....thank you....words can not express how amazing everyone is who helped us reach those astounding numbers.." Over 500 dinners were served in a great night of food, music, fun and friendship.

Sac-Joaquin Cross Country Sub-Section Meet Packs Frogtown |

Frogtown, CA...On November 9 Frogtown and the adjacent Tryon Ranch was filled to overflowing with young runners as the Sac-Joaquin Sub-Sections meet rolled into the Calaveras Fairgrounds. 59 School Buses, and hundreds of vehicles made Frogtown look like the fair was in session. Frogtown has become one of the classic venues on the Cross Country calendar every year. Local runners did very well including Bret Harte's Nolan Johnson who took division honors and then went on to run a top 20 time at the Section Championships on the 16th....

The 16th Annual Teddy Bear Tea Brought "Holiday High Tea" to Frogtown |

Frogtown, CA...The Soroptimist International of Calaveras County held their 16th Annual Teddy Bear Tea to be held at Frog Town November 3. The traditional holiday affair brought together a magical day for children and adults still young at heart. Santa and Mrs. Claus, balloon animals from Krinkles the Clown, pictures with costumed ballerinas & the giant Teddy Bear, face painting, and holiday crafts. The festive event brought "High Tea"

Professional Rodeo coming to the 2014 Calaveras County Fair |

Frogtown, CA...The Rockin' M Rodeo Company will be producing a California Cowboys Professional Rodeo at the 2014 Calaveras County Fair & Jumping Frog Jubilee. This exciting event will be on May 17 at 7 p.m. The Frogtown Arena will be hosting all of the rodeo events, including team roping, bull dogging, barrels, bulls, broncs, clowns and more. The rodeo is free with the price of admission. Stay tuned for more exciting news coming from the Calaveras County Fair...
