Randy Morris Is Missing, Have You Seen Him...(Update....Found Safe)

Sonora, CA...(Update...Found Safe) Randy became lost on his way back from a lookout trail at the top of Mt. Elizabeth Road. Just a bit ago he wandered onto Italian Bar Road and flagged down a passerby. He told the woman he was lost and she drove him to the Search and Rescue team who were nearly 4 miles away. Randy was in good health aside from some cramping and being tired and hungry. The Search and Rescue team gave him some water and a bite to eat. Thank you to everyone for sharing this post and a great big thank you to the Good Samaritan that brought Randy to us.

Indoor Marijuana Grow Eradicated in Mountain Ranch

Mountain Ranch, CA...On 03-29-2019 members of the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office Marijuana Enforcement Team served a search warrant for an illegal indoor marijuana grow at a residence in the 8000 block of Mountain Meadow Drive in Mountain Ranch. Investigators found an entire two story house, barn and carport had been converted for marijuana cultivation. A total of 2,111 marijuana plants were seized. No suspects were found at the location.

Bear Valley, CA...Tour de Bear Valley Saturday March 30th. A fun day of group skiing with various challenges of distance, followed by potluck and film fest. Everyone is invited. Co-Op members can get free rentals for the day to get out there and try it.

Widespread Cell & Landline Phone Outages

Sonora, CA...From the Tuolumne Sheriff's Dept...."Shortly after 1:00 am, Tuolumne County and City of Sonora experienced widespread cell and landline outages. Most City and County residential 9-1-1 landlines appear to be working but emergency calls are being routed through the Police Department at this time due to a temporary failure with the answering points. The Tuolumne County Sheriff's Office and Sonora Police Department have established communications with other local agencies and service to the community should not be interrupted.

911 Up and Running & Calaveras Sheriff's Office Offering Great, In Person, Non-Emergency Service Today

San Andreas, CA...Interruption of Phone Services at Sheriff's Office. On 3-28-2019 at approximately 1:00AM the Calaveras, Alpine and Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Offices suffered interrupted services to their AT&T 911 and business lines. The 911 system is operating via an alternative network. The non-emergency business lines are limited. Persons needing non-emergency assistance from the Sheriff’s Office are encouraged to come to the main Sheriff’s Office for assistance. AT&T is working diligently working to repair the service. The estimated time for repair is 9:00PM.

Angels Camp Resident Arrested for Assault with a Deadly Weapon (Rock) & Mayhem

Angels Camp, CA...On March 26, 2019 at approximately 4:30 AM, officers from the Angels Camp Police Department were notified of a victim in a local emergency room reporting she had been involved in a physical fight in Angels Camp. The victim reported to officers that she was involved in a physical fight with 19 year old Angels Camp resident, Kayla White, in the 600 block of Stanislaus Avenue. Per the victim, White hit the victim in the head with a rock causing major injuries to the victim.
