CA....Country Cloth Shop...We're not just a quilt shop...We aim to be a complete sewing center, carrying products for crafts, clothing, hand embroidery, beads, laces & trims, etc. We are open 7 days a week, Mon-Sat 10am-5pm, Sun 12pm-4pm. Authorized BERNINA Sales & Service. WE teach classes for beginner through advanced sewing & quilting in our 700sf classroom. Please Join us for our "Sip and Sew" Class. Meet the 4th Tuesday of each month to sew with friends on your own projects & maybe learn some tips & tricks from each other. Arnold, CA....Every day, amazing things are donated to the Calaveras Humane Society Thrift Store in Arnold. This week’s “Treasure of the Week” is a beautiful 40's/50's vintage, moss green velvet sofa, with turned, solid pecan feet and break rod arms. It has the original spring and burlap cushion shelf, and it's in great shape! A medium size sofa of this era was often referred to as a "settee"-it's a bit smaller than the usual 9 footer of that time. While in very nice condition, this sofa may require re-upholstering if you are not into "shabby chic". ...

The monthly Open Garden Day Event featuring fall plant sale items will be held at the County Demonstration Garden from ten am to pm one pm on Saturday, Oct 23. Japanese maples will be available for sale. Master Gardeners will be on hand to answer fall gardening questions from 10 am to 2 pm. Handouts will be available specializing in spring meadow flowers and bulbs blooming year round. Every day, amazing things are donated to the Calaveras Humane Society Thrift Store in Arnold. Today’s donated treasure is a Fabulous Vintage Smurf Collection, consisting of multiple collectable Smurfs, figurines, toys, drinking glass set, lunch box, game, Pez dispensers and matchbox cars! All are for sale individually. We can’t guarantee that all will still be available when you get here, but it’s just one example of hundreds (or even thousands!) of exceptionally high quality items you will find in furniture, clothing, ....

This week’s “Treasure of the Week” is a wonderful, Craftsman-inspired solid oak antique set, with the original 4 chairs, still upholstered in the original red Moroccan leather. The set has the original extensions, as well, and is in excellent condition.....

Copperopolis, CA...In the spring of 2009 Dena McAfee, Maggie Rollings, Jack Jimenez, Richard DeBussman, Jane Everett, and Sue Funkey came together with the idea of a community garden following the thought of ‘plant a row for yourself…plant a row for the food pantry.’ This idea took shape and grew over time to become a reality with the first planting of ‘starters’ (seedlings with a healthy start) on Thursday October 7, 2010.....
