Hospice’s 2nd Annual “CALAVERAS LIVE!” - A Live Variety Show |

Murphys, CA...On Saturday night evening October 25th, Hospice of Amador & Calaveras is presenting their 2nd Annual “CALAVERAS LIVE!” fundraiser at the Black Bart Playhouse in Murphys. Tickets are going fast for this year’s show which begins with a wine reception and hors d’oeuvres provided by The Historic Murphys Hotel at 6:30pm. The evening will include lots of fun, music, laughter, and no doubt a few tears. You will also have the opportunity to bid on fine antiques and art, and purchase raffle tickets at the door. Send us pictures of your loved one and be part of the Memorial Tribute Video finale! There are lots of ways to enjoy the show and lots of opportunities to give and to share!

Dr. Ali Parsa will practice Women’s Health in San Andreas serving women in the Tri-County area. “Mark Twain Medical Center is proud to bring women’s specialty care services back to our community,” said Craig Marks, Hospital President. “Dr. Parsa will provide comprehensive women’s health services from well woman care to specialty care, such as laparoscopic surgery. San Andreas, CA...September 26, 2014– Mark Twain Medical Center (MTMC) is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Sanaz Kalantarzadeh (Dr. K) to the Angels Camp and Arnold Medical Centers, to practice psychiatry. “There is a large population of underserved Mental Health patients in Calaveras County,” commented Craig Marks, “Dr. Sanaz Kalantarzadeh will be able to meet those needs in our Medical Centers. She has a very broad range of psychiatric expertise from pediatrics to geriatrics. Her strong educational background and warm personality are a perfect fit for Calaveras County.”

San Andreas, CA...Mark Twain Medical Center (MTMC) will be holding its 16th Annual Fall Health Fair on Saturday, September 27th from 7am to noon on the Hospital Campus in San Andreas. “Hosting our community health fairs allows us to express our gratitude to those that entrust us with their health care needs,” said Craig Marks, Hospital President. “Our health fairs benefit individuals that are underserved or working towards maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Our providers and staff are here to share preventative care and health maintenance tips. Providing affordable health care services is one way we serve our community. This is a joint effort with many other entities working together, especially the Health Care District that helps fund this initiative, to ensure that Calaveras County residents can thrive in a healthy community.”

San Andreas, CA...Mark Twain Medical Center (MTMC) announces it has recruited Dr. Andrew C. McCoy to San Andreas, where he will provide surgical services for the Tri-County area. Dr. Andrew C. McCoy has joined the San Andreas-based Silver Oak Medical Office (SOMO) with Dr.’s Peter Oliver, Dean Kelaita, Shane Patterson, Sarah Grimes and Physician Assistant Ken Romans. “Dr. McCoy is a welcome addition to the communities growing health care needs,” said Craig Marks, Hospital President. “MTMC is committed to providing more and more needed services to the residents of Calaveras County and beyond. Dr. McCoy and his family are a great fit with our community and vision for Calaveras County.”

San Andreas, CA...Mark Twain Medical Center has been on a roll. Patient counts are way up. MTMC is well down the path to recruit and bring 30 new physicians to the area. There have been new services, new equipment added, Medical offices spruced up and more. On August 27th, they held a meet and greet allow existing and new patients to get to know their providers outside of an office visit. Refreshments and Hors d'Oeuvres were served, offices available for tours and more....
