Hey Good People!! Your Pure Mountain Fun Awaits at Bear Valley!
Posted by: thepinetree on 01/07/2022 02:00 PM
Bear Valley, CA...Hey Good People! We broke our all time December record for snowfall on Dec 29th at 8am with the new record being 161″. Mattly’s weather forecast for Friday. The current weather system is finally arriving albeit a bit later than expected. A chance of snow is possible this morning with 1-2″ expected as spillover from the front-currently over the NorCal/Oregon boarder- brings some precipitation and an increase in winds as the surface gradients tighten up further this morning. SSW winds will prevail and average in the upper teens to low 20’s with gusting into the 30’s. Groomed conditions are in order today with off-piste riding also being good.A bit of a break in weather after this system passes will be felt as a drying out looks to occur over the next few weeks. See my thoughts below on the next few weeks of weather.
Arnold, CA...A Pine Blossom after the storm. Was out cleaning up some downed branches and came across this pine blossom. Usually they are quite a bit farther away and up in the tree. Sadly this one was at ground level.
