Join us for our annual celebration of those who have passed on but are with us in memory and spirit on this Day. Local businesses will display ofrendas, we’ll have artisan vendors, food, drinks, the community altar, and entertainment in our beautiful Community Park along the banks of Murphys Creek from 11-5. The event will end with a blessing of the items left on the community altar at around 5:15 pm. Check out our Day of the Dead page for more information. ‘The Orphans’ at Calaveras Big Trees State Park Are Alive and No Longer Stand Alone

Arnold, CA...California State Parks today announced that the two monarch giant sequoias known as “The Orphans” at Calaveras Big Trees State Park are alive and no longer stand alone. The sequoias were damaged during a prescribed burn in the park’s North Grove area last fall. Several scientists visited The Orphans on Thursday, October 5, and observed that they are alive and thousands of giant sequoia seedlings now surround them.

Arnold, CA...The Greater Arnold Business & Community Associations first Spooktacular was a rousing success. It was held on the 28th at the new Arnold Realty parking lot on Hwy 4. There was prizes, games, candy, popcorn, contests, apple cider, photo booth & more all for our local community. Great job everyone and it looked like fun was had by all!

Murphys, CA...The Second Annual Cancer Strong Taps for Ta-Tas was held on October 29th at Murphys Pourhouse. It was a great day of live music, specialty beers, car show, great food and more for a great cause. All proceeds went to the Cancer Strong Non-Profit Start up fund. A few photos are below...
