Bear Valley, CA...Hey Good People! A beautiful day of warm weather, sunshine and great conditions on slope will leave all ya’ll with a big smile this afternoon. 51F looks to be the high today with lite winds. High pressure has certainly kicked in over the last week and sans a slight chance of snow next Tuesday we look to remain in high pressure type conditions with average temps pushing 5-10F above normal for the next 7-10 days. Spring style skiing is in full effect and coverage is great on the hill so get out and ski/ride and enjoy the Pure Mtn Fun ethos! Stay tuned……..

Markleeville, CA...The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) reopened Monitor Pass at State Route 89 at 8 a.m. on Friday, April 9, 2021. Crews removed snow and ice, cleared debris, and made necessary repairs to help ensure the traveling public’s safety.

Yosemite National Park, CA...Beginning Friday, May 21, visitors to Yosemite National Park will need a day-use reservation to enter the park. The temporary day-use reservation system will allow the park to manage visitation levels to reduce risks associated with exposure to COVID-19. Day-use reservations will be required for all users, including annual and lifetime pass holders. Each reservation is valid for three days.

Carson City, NV...Dead and downed firewood cutting permits are now available to purchase on the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest’s Bridgeport and Carson Ranger Districts. Forest officials stress that it is extremely important for firewood cutters to pay special attention to the terms and conditions of their permit.
