Romantic Bear Valley Tonight at Bear Valley Music Festival

Posted by: thepinetree on 08/03/2023 12:24 PM
Bear Valley, CA...Close your eyes, relax, and enjoy works that will reflect the beautiful surroundings of Bear Valley: Wagner’s Forest Murmurs, Liadov’s “Enchanted Lake,” and a musical thunderstorm during Liszt’s “Les Preludes.” These famous works will deeply connect us to the beauty that surrounds the tent. The concert will conclude with Max Richter’s Vivaldi Reimagined with guest soloist Mads Tolling, a Bear Valley favorite this time playing with the orchestra rather than with his band. It is a not-to-be-missed 21st-century version of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons.

CCWD General Manager on Significant Rate Increases Ahead ~ Michael Minkler

Posted by: thepinetree on 08/03/2023 12:50 PM
San Andreas, CA...A rate increase is among the most difficult tasks a water and wastewater agency must do. Especially one of this magnitude. CCWD has done everything within its power to control costs. We are fortunate to have incredibly talented staff who constantly seek ways to reduce costs while still providing safe and reliable service and maintaining compliance with ever-increasing regulatory requirements. We have also reduced the number of infrastructure projects that this rate increase will fund and limited our list to those that require immediate attention. Had we fully funded our Capital Improvement Program, we would have had to increase rates even more. In the past several years, CCWD has obtained millions in grants to cover some of our infrastructure projects. But despite these successful grant efforts and our cost-effective operations, our costs have increased dramatically due to circumstances beyond our control, especially over the last three years.

Candlelight Chamber Night at Bear Valley Music Festival

Posted by: thepinetree on 08/02/2023 06:08 PM
Bear Valley, CA...Because of its intimate nature, chamber music has been described as “the music of friends.” And that’s especially true in Bear Valley when we gather in the tent to hear our own symphony musicians join together to perform works they select. Chamber music brings the listener in to feel what each individual musician is trying to convey, connecting us to them and one another in a special way. Join us for a lovely evening specially curated by our musician friends.
