Bring exact change or purchase your Annual Pass online before arriving. Annual passes will not be sold at the gate during this weekend. Limit 8 people per campsite. Reservations for campsites are required. There will be NO walk-in availability for camping. Pets are NOT allowed at any of the campsites or day use areas. Please follow the COVID guidance from the CA Department of Public Health Order issued on June 11, 2021

Mokelumne Hill, CA...Mokelumne Hill Small Town, Big Heart July 4th celebration. Festivities begin with a pancake breakfast at the Town Hall from 7:30am to 10:30am. Enjoy a delicious breakfast and help support the Veteran’s Memorial District in its efforts to maintain and improve our town hall and parks. The July 4th parade starts at 11:00 a.m. Come and join your friends and neighbors on Main Street and enjoy the food, music, and vendors. Better yet — be part of the celebration by entering the Parade or by selling your wares. Kids games in Shutter Tree Park after the parade. Shops will be open and vendors will be on Main Street from 10:00am – 2:00pm.

Successful Tuolumne County Sheriff's Search & Rescue

Sonora, CA...TCSAR completed a multi-agency rescue of 14 backpackers from the Emigrant Wilderness on Thursday 07/01/21. Late Wednesday, 06/30/21, OES alerted the Sheriff's Office of a 911 PLB activation in the Emigrant with several backers packers ranging in age from 15-22 years of age. They had been caught in a locally severe thunderstorm that included heavy rain and hail with lightning. The group had several teens that were suffering from hypothermia and needed immediate evacuation.

Mark Twain Medical Center Opens Annual Community Grant Funding Period.

San Andreas, CA...MTMC will be awarding $34,000 in January of 2022. Mark Twain Medical Center, (MTMC) through its affiliation with Dignity Health, has announced the opening of the 2022 Dignity Health Community Grants Program. The Dignity Health Community Grants Program is designed to support nonprofits that collaborate to address community health needs, particularly those that focus on underserved populations. Therefore, the projects to be funded must involve collaboration with 3 local organizations and be linked to Mark Twain Medical Center.
