The Value in “I Matter” Project at Local Schools |

Angels Camp – A project called “I Matter” at two local schools is helping students feel valued, build a sense of connection with each other and to the community, and highlight individual worth. This first-time project has had a positive impact on students, staff and family members as they view all the faces on display.
The black and white photography used was to equalize and unify all the faces.

Arnold, CA...PG&E's system is straining under the load of the Winter Storm System with significant outages along 120 from Groveland into Yosemite, Hwy 108 at higher elevations, Hwy 4 in Arnold area & also in Amador County.

GABA's Winter Wonderland Kicked Off Great Holiday Season in Arnold Area |

Arnold, CA...On December 4th the Arnold Plaza played host to Winter Wonderland which was sponsored by the Greater Arnold Business Association or GABA. Santa Arrived by EPFD Firetruck and he stayed for the whole event where attendees could get photos with Santa, enjoy hot chocolate, treats, enjoy Christmas carols, visit local businesses & more. Over 5,000 PG&E Customers Powerless as Storm Intensifies |

Arnold, CA...PG&E's Outage system is reporting about 5,000 customers without power in our coverage area at this time. This includes about 500 in Calaveras County and a large outage of over 4,200 in the Ione area in Amador County. There are also numerous small outages.

Murphys, CA...We live in a divided country and in these tumultuous times, school board meetings have become an uncivilized forum for activists and angry parents to engage in public discourse on a variety of subjects from critical race theory, funding mental health programs, mask mandates, and in California the vaccine mandates for all children that attend public and private schools.

Jamestown, CA...For the fifth consecutive holiday season, California State Parks, Railtown 1897 State Historic Park (SHP) and the California State Railroad Museum Foundation are proud to present THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Train Ride experiences this holiday season. The festive train rides start the weekend after Thanksgiving and run on the following dates in 2018: November 23, 24 & 30 and December 1, 2, 7, 8, 9, 14, 15 & 16. Three festive train rides will be available each day the trains are running at 4:30 p.m., 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. In 2016, Railtown 1897 was recognized by Rail Events, Inc. with a prestigious Polar Bell award for Best Décor for THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Train Ride experiences offered in Jamestown.
