Markleeville, CA... The 40th Anniversary Death Ride® - Tour of the California Alps, originally scheduled for the summer of 2020, is finally returning to Markleeville, Calif. on July 17, 2021. As many as 2,500 cyclists from across the country will attempt the endurance event covering over 103 miles, six highly categorized climbs, and over 14,000 feet of vertical climbing in just one day.

Tuolumne County, CA...The University of California Cooperative Extension invites owners of forest land in Tuolumne and surrounding counties to enroll in a Forest Stewardship workshop from August 4th to September 29th. Zoom meetings with all participants and presenters will take place once a week on Wednesdays from 6-7:30pm starting August 4th. The in-person field day will be held August 28th and will cover field based skills building.
Reclamation Continues Increased Flow Releases from New Melones Reservoir

Tuttletown, CA...The Bureau of Reclamation is continuing increased flow releases from New Melones Reservoir to assist with Delta salinity and outflow requirements. Additional flow releases began on the lower Stanislaus River on June 10. The increased flow of 1,500 cubic feet per second will occur for an extended duration.
