Frogtown, USA...The 2020 Fair and Frog Jumping Jubilee will be a "Frogtown Hoedown" and every great slogan needs a logo to match. The Calaveras County Fair is seeking a logo for our 2020 slogan. The logo will be on t-shirts and other marketing items. The prize for the chosen logo is $300. Send entries to laurie@frogtown.org. Please send in two formats, pdf and jpeg. Entries are due on October 31, 2019.

Angels Camp, CA..Bob Middleton of Middleton's Mark Twain Center attended the Brand Source Convention in Dallas, TX earlier this month. Middleton's along with other dealers were recognized for being one of the original 100 Dealers in the country! Bob has belonged to the Pacific Rim Region since 1987, it encompasses, AZ, CA & NV. The convention celebrated the 50TH Anniversary of AVB Brand Source being a National Buying group for Independent Appliance, Furniture, Mattress, Electronic Dealers.

On Friday, September 20, this popular affair is once again being hosted at Karmère Vineyards & Winery in the Shenandoah Valley. The evening promises an unforgettable experience, including music, wine, food, art, and what could be a record turnout. Shoes are also provided to start micro-businesses, and the proceeds go back to purchasing new shoes for children and adults wherever there is a need.

Ebbetts Pass Summit, CA....From Caltrans D!..."We put an overnight shift on to make sure the route stayed open and safe throughout the night and applied sand to some of the corners as there was rain lower down that was expected to freeze." Arnold, CA...From the owner..."Dear Pine Tree Readers, I’d like to inform the community to be extra vigilant if they see suspicious activity in their neighborhood. Sometime between Sept 2nd and 6th, my home on Elizabeth Drive in Blue Lake Springs was broken into and many of my cherished possessions were stolen. Amongst the stolen items were 3 guitars that I purchased as a young man in the 1970’s and 1980’s. They had tremendous sentimental value. They also stole newer power tools (mostly Dewalt brand), chain saws, guitar amp, LCD TV, surround sound and stereo equipment, even some furniture and much more.
