Valley Springs., CA...How many Rotarians does it take to install a sign? A lot of them when it requires raising a large sign high into the air. Thanks to the Rotary Club of West Calaveras and President Gary Tofanelli, a new Welcome to Valley Springs sign has been installed along the boundary of The Terrace shopping center. The sign was designed with space available for other organizations to add their logo in the future...

San Andreas, CA...Mark Twain Medical Center (MTMC) held its 15th Annual Fall Health Fair on Saturday, September 28th from 7am to noon on the Hospital Campus in San Andreas. The event had over fifty community health related service groups participating and the Health Fair provided a wealth of information on topics such as senior health services, nutrition, fitness and diabetes. There were a variety of free health screenings – body fat, physical fitness levels, colon cancer, stress levels, and metabolic screenings. Low cost testing and services include Pneumonia Vaccinations ($45), Blood Analysis ($45), and Bone Density Screenings ($10). Flu shots were free...

Mountain Ranch, CA....October is the month the changes in the weather say, “Fall is really here!” At the Resource Center there are changes, too. On Monday Oct. 14th, the Resource Center will be OPEN for Columbus Day. New Art Exhibit coming the 3rd week in October and will run through the holidays. Janet Langton will be our featured local artist starting in mid-October, and an Artist’s Reception and Open House is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 22nd. Be sure to mark your calendar and plan to attend. Our Open House/Artist’s Receptions are informal gatherings that give the public the opportunity to meet and talk to the featured artist about their work.
