Angels Camp, CA...It was wonderful to see the Frog Jump Youth Parade kick off the 2022 Calaveras Fair and Jumping Frog Jubilee yesterday morning. The crowds and the traditions were back. The Soroptimists of Calaveras County always do a great job putting on this parade that has been a Angels Camp tradition for the last 75 years. Full Photo Gallery at bottom of article on new site...

Angels Camp, CA...It was wonderful to see the sidewalks fill, the floats lined up and ready to go and the 2022 Calaveras County Fair and Jumping Frog Jubilee hop off to a great start. The crowd was easily back at it's pre covid levels as another institution and community event made it out the other side. We took photos of every float and entrant and are sorting them now. To get you started off the full parade video is below...

Angels Camp, CA...A bit of a look back at 2019 to get you in the mood for Tomorrow's big kick off parade for this year's Calaveras County Fair and Frog Jump Jubilee. Ladies, Gents, Boys & Girls...The 2019 Calaveras County Fair & Frog Jump Jubilee is underway. The Youth Parade led the way through Historic Downtown Angels Camp. The clouds parted and the sun made an appearance to welcome in the festivities. One interesting thing was the abundance of camera crews with very expensive equipment on hand getting footage in the can. We asked who they were shooting for and there is a Netflix crew in town for this weekend to shoot a documentary on the Frog Jump and what it takes to win. So if Rosie the Ribbiter's record falls it will become part of a Netflix Feature.

Bria Heintz to Defend Frog Jump Title With ‘Skinny Legs’ |

FROGTOWN, CA... Bria Heintz will return to defend her title at the Jumping Frog Jubilee this year with a frog to be known as “Skinny Legs.” The seven-year-old leaped to victory in 2021 with a jump of 20 feet and 1 inch – short of the 21 feet 5 and ¾ inches World’s Record – but creating lots of excitement.
