San Andreas, CA....Our Board of Sups will have a busy agenda again this Tuesday March 17th. The will start off the meeting with a Minute Order authorizing Wilensky to sign a a letter supporting Senate Bill 1139 designating Rail Road Flat Elementary School to be a necessary small school; There will also be some Resolution Items regarding the Calaveras County Sheriff's Office and the USDA for to enter into a 2008 Operating and Financial Plan for Suppression of controlled Substances and a Resolution Item for Law Enforcement Services; There will be a Minute Order authorizing Board Chair to sign an agreement with Mark Twain S. Josephs Hospital for Emergency Preparedness planning for 12/17/07-8/8/08 in the amount of $76,565.00; The full agenda is enclosed for your viewing pleasure....

City of Angels Camp City Council Will Be Busy Bee's on Tuesday |

The Angels Camp City Council will be busy bee's on Tuesday, March 18th. First they will meet at 2:30pm at the Board of Supervisor's Chambers for a Study Session. This will be a Presentation/Discussion with the Calaveras County Chamber of Commerce on Economic Development. They will then adjourn and meet up again at the Fire House in Angels Camp for their regular meeting at 6pm where they will discuss RESOLUTION NO. 08-10 OPPOSING THE ADDITION OF TWO NEW SEATS ON THE LOCAL AGENCY FORMATION COMMISSION (LAFCO). APPROVE RESOLUTION NO. 08-10. A RESOLUTION IN OPPOSITION OF ADDING TWO ADDITIONAL SEATS ON LAFCO; UPDATE ON NEW MELONES FEES. The full agenda is enclosed for your viewing pleasure..... |

Calaveras County Sheriffs Association to Hold Dinner To Benefit Local Youth |

San Andreas, CA...The Annual Calaveras Deputy Sheriff Association (DSA) will hold their annual Dinner Dance on Saturday March 22nd ad San Andreas Town Hall. The event will start at 6pm with a no-host bar, then dinner to follow at 7pm. The proceeds for this event go to local youth organizations, and contributions to local scholarships every year. Calaveras County, CA...Sarah Lunsford of Murphys has joined the race for Calaveras County Supervisor District 4. She will be running against longtime Supervisor, Tom Tryon, new candidates Lee Seaton and Ron Klass. Ms. Lunsford chose to make Calaveras County her home 11 years ago when she moved to Murphys, but she was not unfamiliar with the area. The first time she visited the area she was 13 year old. She graduated from U.C. Berkeley with a degree in English Literature before going to study law for a year at Golden Gate University in San Francisco. She chose to move on from her studies in law and began working as a Sales Administrator in Silicon Valley..... |
