Governor Newsom Grants Executive Clemency

Sacramento, CA...Governor Gavin Newsom announced that he has granted pardons to two members of California tribes, the Koi Nation of Northern California and the Resighini Rancheria. Tribal leaders support these pardons, which recognize the grantees’ efforts and successes in rehabilitation post-conviction, as well as their extraordinary service to their communities. These pardons coincide with Native American Heritage Month, which honors the vibrancy and resiliency of Native American culture.

Governor Newsom Doubles Down on Ending Organized Retail Crime Rings

Sacramento, CA... In response to a recent increase in organized retail theft activities across the state, Governor Gavin Newsom has directed the California Highway Patrol (CHP) to increase their presence near major retail sites and announced a proposed increase in the 2022-2023 state budget to combat retail theft.

Waukesha, WI...From the City of Waudesha..."Here is the information we can provide now: Waukesha Public Schools are closed tomorrow. Everyone should continue to stay away from the scene. The roads will remain closed at least overnight. If you live in the area where the roads are closed, and you need access to your home for pets or medications, you can park in lot #12 (where the Farmers Market is held). Go to the clock tower and show proper identification. An officer will escort you to your home. You will then to need to remain in place in your home until the roads are re-opened.
