Sex Offender Arrested In Angels Camp |

Angels Camp, CA...On Friday, 03/10/17, at approximately 2 PM an officer from the Angels Camp Police Department was dispatched to meet with a CHP officer that had a subject detained near the intersection of Stanislaus Avenue and Oneida Street. Upon arrival the officer found that CHP had detained Christopher Brian Dodge, a 38 year old male. Dodge is a convicted sex offender that is out of compliance with registration requirements. Per CA State Law, convicted sexual offenders are required to register with the law enforcement agency that has jurisdictional responsibility for their place of residence.

Wanted Subject Arrested In Angels Camp |

Angels Camp, CA...On Saturday, 03/11/17, at approximately 5:50 PM, an officer from the Angels Camp Police Department was on patrol when he noticed that a wanted subject was sitting on a bench in the 200 block of S. Main Street. James A. Moser III, a 39 year old transient male, was arrested after confirmation that he had an outstanding warrant for his arrest, related to a burglary case in Calaveras County. During the arrest it was discovered that Moser was in possession of a rifle round, which he is prohibited from possessing. He was also in possession of a white Apple iPhone that was suspected to be stolen property.

High Speed Chase Leads To Arrest Of Felon On Weapon & License Charges |

Jamestown, CA...On March 9, 2017 at approximately 4:21 pm, CHP Officer Mahaney attempted to make a stop on a black 2013 Ford F-150 on Lime Kiln Road for defective windshield and not displaying a front license plate. The driver, later identified as 24 year old Sonora resident Kenneth Edward Job, accelerated rapidly from CHP Officer Mahaney in an attempt to flee from capture. Job led Officer Mahaney and additional responding units on a pursuit that lasted approximately 15 minutes and covered approximately 10 miles at speeds varying from 25 miles per hour to in excess of 75 miles per hour.

Sonora Police Arrest Florida Prowler |

Sonora, CA...On Wednesday,shortly after 8:30 a.m., a resident of Norlin Street in called the Sonora Police Department to report spotting a subject walking from behind her residence. She described the subject as wearing a reflective vest and a work identification card with his picture on it around his neck and said he refused to give her a reason for being on her property.
