Arnold, CA...We had the pleasure to check in with Doug Shinn from Cedar Creek Realty on the status of the negotiations with Calaveras County on the Driveway Slope Issue. For those of you who may not be familiar with the issue the County is now interpreting an existing county ordinance in a more restrictive manner than it had been doing for a number of years. At LAST! We have a NUMBER! The final analysis has finally been completed by Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac telling us what the new conforming loan limits are for our State. Unfortunately they vary county by county, so if you need information for any counties not listed here, please give me a call, or send me an email for the limits. There are rules that apply to these new loan limits, some lenders will not allow cash out, while others will, some will not allow the loan to be processed until July, some are taking loans now, some are requiring....

San Andreas, CA...Mark Twain St. Joseph's Facilities and Project Development Director, Larry Cornish addressed the Calaveras County Board of Supervisors this morning on all of the great things that are happening at the Hospital. He brought the Hospital's Business of the Year award up & also promoted an upcoming Job Fair that will be held at Toyon Middle School to showcase the healthcare jobs available in the area. One of the biggest news items in his update, was the announcement that the Mark Twain St. Joseph's Healthcare District will be building a 13,000 square foot medical facility in the new Copperopolis Towne Square....

Bear Valley, CA...We had the chance to stop by the Bear Valley Water District Board meeting on Monday where they discussed an alternative to the proposed $12,000,000 conventional treatment plant. Partners from Clean Filtration Technologies gave a presentation on using a cyclonic filtration system and small micron filters instead of the traditional waste treatment facilities. One of the partners in the company is Bear Valley homeowner John Mallard. One of the added benefits of using a system like this is that it may be possible to get the output to "Title 22" standards. This level is needed to for treated water to be sprayed on Ball Fields, Parks, Golf Courses or even Snow Making. One option is for these systems to be built into standard shipping containers. This would help with the short building cycles in Bear Valley. The district could potentially drop in a turn key system for less than half the cost of the conventional treatment plants...
