Ann Herford Still Missing as the Search Continues On

Arnold, CA...Early this morning, the Calaveras County Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue held a briefing and sent teams into the field in search of Missing Person Ann Herford. 79 searchers were deployed to search for her. The search effort is being coordinated by the Calaveras County Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue, with support from other search teams from throughout the state. As of this update, the missing person has not been located.

Ann Herford, a 66-year-old traveling nurse practitioner, went missing after not showing up for work at Adventist Health in Sonora, CA. Ann was staying alone at the Best Western in Sonora and had expressed interest in hiking during a breakfast with a friend on the 11th. A resident saw Ann near a trailhead where her car was found on the 15th. Family members note she enjoyed hiking but lacked wilderness survival skills, never planning more than a couple of miles at a time.

If you have any information about the whereabouts of Ann Herford, please contact the Calaveras County Sheriff's Office at 209-754-6500.
