Railroad Museum & Foundation Announce Railtown 1897 Goes Hollywood Once Again with “Robbery on the Rails” Train Ride Experiences Over Extended Labor Day Weekend
Jamestown, CA...California State Parks, the California State Railroad Museum Foundation and Railtown 1897 State Historic Park in Jamestown are excited to present entertaining “Robbery on the Rails” theatrical excursion train ride experiences over the extended Labor Day Weekend, September 3-5, 2022. Designed using some Hollywood-style creative license to add to the fun, three 45-minute family-friendly excursion train rides will be offered each day at 10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m., and will be pulled by a historic locomotive. Throughout the holiday weekend, live entertainment will be provided by Congressional Gunfighters of America.
Tapping into the Wild West portrayed by the film industry, “Robbery on the Rails” train ride guests will be transported to a time when train robberies were the talk of the town, gritty outlaws were on the run from the law, and the local marshals managed to apprehend the villains and restore order. Although many of the tales of the Wild West live in the imaginations of filmmakers and storytellers, some were rooted in fact. Although the trains of the Sierra Railway were never documented to have been robbed in real life, the event pays homage to the many robberies portrayed in films on the railroad. Outlaws were indeed part of the make-up of the west as were robberies on the railroad. Thanks to the film industry’s enduring fascination with trains, entertaining stories of heroes and villains are intertwined with the rich history of Railtown 1897.
Given America’s lasting love affair with westerns and the Wild West, these limited-time train ride experiences are expected to sell out quickly. All “Robbery on the Rails” train ride tickets include Park admission and cost $22 for adults, $16 for youth ages 6-17 and are free for children five and under. For this special event, Railtown 1897 members receive discounts of $15 for adults, $9 for youth ages 6-17. For advance tickets or more information about “Robbery on the Rails” at Railtown 1897 State Historic Park, please visit www.railtown1897.org.

The Old Wild West has always been the History and draw of The Mother Lode and always should have been continuing to today. The counties should have community plans that keep the building of anything with an Old West look. The transplants have always worked to change that and make it like the disastrous cities they destroyed.
The mentality of the transplants to our area is suspect. We have old brain damaged and drugged Hippies that should never be in charge of anything. They all think and live in some narcissistic fantasy world. They seem to think they are some kind of movie star or famous band singer. They are not, or they would have been famous long ago. Misfits one and all.
I'm seeing a bunch of Alec Baldwin wannabes. I sure hope those guns they are playing with are plastic.

Oh and I almost forgot the other mentally inept ones that think they are a famous artist. There are a very few I have seen that actually have some kind of talent. The majority create childlike art that no one wants to pay for.
And stop trashing all the buildings with the mess of very bad city like, trashy graffiti murals everywhere.
