Bolt is Your Calaveras County Animal Services Pet of the Week
San Andreas, CA...Meet Bolt, a greyhound perhaps Lab mix of about three years of age. Bolt was found wandering by a Good Samaritan who brought him to us. At first shy and timid, Bolt has blossomed and gained some weight as volunteers and staff earned his trust. Bolt walks well on a leash and eagerly takes treats with a soft mouth. He exhibited mixed responses to other shelter dogs, though, so if you have another dog at home, a meet ‘n’ greet will be required. Bolt will also need a home without small animals and a human companion who can provide a loving and reassuring hand. Otherwise gentle and sweet-tempered, we believe he is housebroken since he keeps his kennel clean.
As with all dogs available for adoption at the Calaveras Animal Shelter, Bolt is micro-chipped and up-to-date on his routine vaccinations. He will need to be neutered before going home with you.
Come visit Bolt, impound no. AO52694, along with other dogs and cats awaiting adoption at Calaveras County Animal Services, 901 Jeff Tuttle Drive, San Andreas (in government center by the new jail). Animal Services is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday - Saturday (closed for lunch from 1-2 p.m.). Animal Services now has a Fee Flexibility Program!
When the dog or cat population at the shelter is at 80% or above capacity, the total adoption fee will be 50% off––reduced to $40 for dogs and $30 for cats. The adoption fee for cats who arrive at the shelter already altered will be $10. With the 55-5-5 Program, any time an adopter is 55 or older and adopts any pet over 5 years old, the adoption fee is $5.
