CHP Sonora Investigating Suspicious Death of Matthew Winks
Jamestown, CA... On October 3rd, 2020 at approximately 6:50 PM, CHP officers responded to a hit and run traffic collision in the area of 7th Street and Fifth Avenue in Jamestown. Upon their arrival, they located the body of 42-year-old Matthew Winks of Jamestown. After further investigation, officers began gathering evidence leading them to believe that Mr. Winks death was suspicious.
This investigation is ongoing and we are asking if anyone has information about this incident, please call the CHP Merced Communications Center at (209) 356-2900 and request to speak to Investigator A. Palazuelos. You can remain anonymous.
