MOC Fire: Mandatory Evacuations for Community of Moccasin Hetch Hetchy Power Plant Community Lifted at 12:00pm Today

Moccasin, CA...Moccasin Hetch Hetchy Power Plant Community- All Mandatory Evacuation Orders & Fire advisements for the community of Moccasin Hetch Hetchy Power Plant will be lifted today, Saturday August 22, at 12pm. Due to the large amount of Fire suppression equipment in the area, speed control will be enforced. Road Closures - Road Conditions: Open with no restrictions Greeley Hill (J132) / Smith Station, Closed: Hwy 49N from Penon Blanco to Hwy 120. All North intersecting roads on Greeley Hill Road (J132) / Smith Station from Priest Coulterville to the Mariposa / Tuolumne County line.




Fire WARNING Area: Hwy 49 North from the Mariposa / Tuolumne County Line to Mary Harrison Mine Rd and all side roads Coulterville- From 4700 Block of J132 to Priest Coulterville Rd Greeley Hill- All roads South on Greeley Hill Road (J132) from Priest Coulterville to Smith Station

The Temporary Evacuation Point for Red Cross and Shelter Information is located at the Mariposa County Fairgrounds 5007 Fairgrounds Rd General Information-There will still be smoke in the respective areas as firefighters continue firefighting operations. If at any time you feel unsafe, please call 911.

Safety Message- Trees and poles with deep charring, particularly if still smoking, should be considered hazardous.
