Yosemite Conservancy’s Outdoor Adventures Inspire Park Visitors

Yosemite National Park, CA...Discover Yosemite National Park through the eyes of naturalist guides with lifetimes of Yosemite experience and insider knowledge on one of Yosemite Conservancy’s unforgettable Outdoor Adventures with proceeds going to restoring trails and habitat, protecting vulnerable wildlife and park educational programs.

“This is great way for people of all ages and abilities to experience something new and exciting in Yosemite with expert guides eager to pass along what they know. There are day hikes, backpacking treks, photography workshops and bird watching tours with accomplished naturalists, professional photographers, hiking authorities and other insiders with unmatched knowledge of the park,” said Frank Dean, president of Yosemite Conservancy.

Among the Outdoor Adventures offered in 2019 are: A three-day, two-night women-only backpacking trip along Yosemite Creek, the top of Yosemite Falls, Eagle Peak and the Three Brothers formation high above Yosemite Valley. A full day program in Yosemite Valley connects fellow dog-lovers on an excursion that also provides helpful tips for exploring the park with pets and learning about dog-friendly public lands around California and other parts of the country. Another hike promotes the environmental and social benefits of using public transit, park shuttles and foot power to experience the park. During this two-day exploration of Yosemite Valley, learn about car-free emission-free itineraries to enjoy different corners of the park while hiking by towering trees, beside granite cliffs and along snowmelt-fed creeks.

Custom Adventures are also available for groups, families or individuals ranging from easy one-hour hikes to challenging overnight treks. There are adventures spanning the entire park geography and occurring throughout the year. See a monthly calendar of the roster here. Each program is limited to small groups to allow for a personalized park experience guided by naturalists, historians and artists. Register for an Outdoor Adventure at www.yosemiteconservancy.org, email adventures@yosemiteconservancy.org or call 209-379-2317 x10.
