Accelerating Viper Leads to Major Injury Rollover Collision
Sonora, CA...On Sunday, March 10, 2019, at approximately 3:03 pm, 58 year old Sonora resident, Brad Nolte was driving a 2001 Dodge Viper up the two lane on ramp to eastbound SR-108 from Mono Way. Nolte was traveling in the right lane behind slower traffic. Nolte turned into the left lane and accelerated to approximately 60-65 mph. Nolte lost control of his vehicle due to the rapid acceleration.
Nolte’s vehicle careened to the right over the right lane and struck the raised asphalt curb. The vehicle then overturned down the dirt embankment. Several passerby's assisted Nolte from the vehicle as it came to rest on its roof with Nolte still seat-belted inside the vehicle. Nolte suffered major injuries as a result of the roll over collision and was transported to Adventist Health Sonora.
