Three Vehicle Collision Near Hwy 120 & Green Springs Snarled Traffic & Sent Many for Treatment

Jamestown, CA...On December 7, 2018 at approximately 0800 hours, a Modesto man was driving a 1997 GMC north on Green Springs Road and had come to a stop for the stop sign at the intersection of State Route 120. A 70 year old Dublin man was driving a Toyota east on State Route 120, west of Green Springs Road at approximately 40 to 45 miles per hour. A Ripon man was driving a Peterbilt westbound on State Route 120, east of Green Springs Road at approximately 40 to 45 miles per hour. This collision occurred as the Modesto man proceeded to turn west onto State Route 120 from Green Springs Road, directly into the path of the Toyota where the front of the Toyota collided with the left side of the GMC. Immediately after they collided, the GMC was struck on the right side by an eastbound big rig.

The Modesto man sustained moderate injuries but declined further medical attention from on scene medical personnel. The driver of the Toyota and his seven passengers sustained minor to moderate injuries and were transported by ambulance to Adventist Health Medical Center in Sonora, CA. The Peterbuilt driver sustained moderate injuries and was transported by ambulance to Adventist Health Medical Center in Sonora, CA.

Drugs and or Alcohol do not appear to be a factor in this collision.
