CALAVERAS COUNTY MISSION STATEMENT
The Mission of Calaveras County Government is to provide service, infrastructure,
leadership, and vision necessary to advance a safe community, maintain a high quality
of life, while preserving local history and culture, and to protect personal liberties for all
of its citizens.
Pursuant to Government Code 65009, a legal challenge to any of the
projects described below may be limited to addressing only those issues
raised at the public hearing or in written correspondence delivered to the
Planning Commission at or prior to the public hearing.
Application(s), environmental documents, staff reports, and project files are
available for review at the Calaveras County Community Development Agency,
Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., except County holidays. Copies
of the project file, staff report, and/or environmental documents may also be
purchased.
Planning Commission decisions can be appealed to the Board of Supervisors.
Appeals must be filed with the Board Clerk within fifteen (15) days of this hearing.

5. PUBLIC HEARINGS:
Items continued from February 7, 2008
A. Policy & Procedures for Planning Commission Hearings. Continued from
February 7, 2008, meeting.
B. 2005-85 TENTATIVE PARCEL MAP for JOHN G. BETTENCOURT The
applicant is requesting approval of a Tentative Subdivision Tract Map to
divide 11.98± acres into two (2) parcels of 5.99 ± acres each. The
property is located on the west side of Watertown Road approximately
800’ north of the intersection of Watertown Road and Paloma Road, and
about ½ mile north of Valley Springs. (APN: 48-002-086 is a portion of the
Southeast ¼ of Section 11 and the Southwest ¼ of Section 12, T4N,
R10E, MDM).
C. 2006-177 VARIANCE for JASON and OCTOBER ZACHARY The
applicants are requesting approval of a rear setback variance from 20’ to
6’ for an existing work shop structure. The subject property is located at
4386 Mulford Court in the Rancho Calaveras subdivision, Valley Springs.
(APN: 071-028-006 is a portion of Section 2 – T31N, R10E, MDM).
