Winter Weather Advisory Prompts Calaveras Transit Route Changes

San Andreas, CA – February 28, 2018 – Adverse weather conditions expected in higher elevations will affect the Calaveras Transit Blue Line. The National Weather Service is indicating blizzard like conditions from the early evening of February 28 until late evening March 3.  Increased levels of snow and up to thirty-eight mile an hour winds are expected in the higher elevations.

Based on the forecasted weather report, the following Calaveras Transit service changes will be in effect as follows:

03/01 – The Blue line will be closed from Murphys to Arnold.
03/02 – Service on the Blue line will be suspended for the 5:10 am Angels Camp to Arnold bus and the 5:50am Arnold to Angels Camp bus.

Significant weather events and road conditions may cause service changes to the following route segments:

1.     Purple Line from San Andreas to Rail Road Flat
2.     Green Line from San Andreas to West Point
3.     Red Line from Angels Camp to Columbia College

Calaveras Transit monitors weather and road conditions on an on-going basis and may make further route modifications based on rider safety.

Please contact Calaveras Transit Customer Service at 209-754-4450 for the latest information on travel in the area during adverse weather conditions.
