Michelson Students Spread Kindness in Downtown Murphys ~ By Bethany Monk
Murphys, C.A…Michelson Elementary School students went ‘out on the town’ Friday, Feb. 8 to decorate historic Murphys with their cheerful smiles, contagious kindness and some special light blue ribbons…
…The youngsters, accompanied by teachers and parent volunteers, tied blue bows around trees and poles and handed out “kindness ribbons” to passersby to remind people about ‘National Random Acts of Kindness Week,’ which runs Feb. 12-18. Michelson and several other schools in the county participate in the week-long effort to remind people the importance of being kind to one another.
Random Acts of Kindness is a nonprofit organization, established in 1995, dedicated to raising awareness about kindness and inviting people to give and receive kindness on a daily basis.
