Bank Robbery at Umpqua Bank in Twain Harte

Twain Harte, CA...On 7/21/15 at approx. 1050 hours, the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office was notified by Umpqua bank employees that a robbery had just occurred. Two black male adults, believed to be late teens or early 20’s entered the bank and demanded money. The two males jumped over the counter, tackling one of the tellers to the ground. An undisclosed amount of money was taken by the two suspects and they left the building on foot, unknown direction of travel. Sheriff’s personnel and assisting agencies are checking the area for the suspects. No weapon was seen at the time of the robbery. It is unknown if the suspects had a vehicle...

The two suspects are described as the following:

1/ light skin black male, average build, late teen or early 20’s wearing a button up long sleeve light colored stripped shirt with a polka dot beanie on his head

2/ black male with a goatee beard, average build, late teen or early 20’s wearing blue and white plaid checkered button up long sleeve shirt.



Photos of the suspects taken from the surveillance cameras inside the bank have been provided. The Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public to contact us at (209) 533-5815 with any information they may have regarding the identity of the two suspects.



The investigation is ongoing.
