Destination Angels Camp Begins Search For Business Recruitment Consultant To Recruit Retail, Professional and Tourism-related Businesses
Angels Camp, CA, March 7, 2014: - Destination Angels Camp Development Corporation (DAC), the economic development arm of the City of Angels, today released advertisements to local and professional publications and web sites seeking a Business Recruitment Consultant to support the business recruitment efforts of the organization. DAC chairman Bob Trinchero said, “We are looking for an independent consultant who has proven experience in recruiting businesses for cities, retail centers, business improvement districts or similar organizations. We want someone who can work with DAC’s dedicated team of volunteer professionals while taking the lead in approaching targeted businesses as well as commercial realtors and developers and corporate re-location specialists...
“Now that DAC is up and running, our top goal is to attract boutique businesses to the various vacancies we have in our commercial districts,” Trinchero explained. “Angels Camp has seen a number of new businesses open up within the past year that already have operations in nearby communities, for instance, The Clothes Mine, Rolling Dough Pizza, The Chicken Barn and Round Table Pizza. These are businesspeople with successful operations who came to Angels Camp to tap into its market. We hope to attract even more regional entrepreneurs who are thinking about expanding.”
According to the recruitment ad placed on the California Association of Local Economic Development (CalED) website, the position’s main responsibilities include developing and implementing a strategic action plan for business recruitment, using market research data, developing marketing packages for targeted businesses, networking with economic development and planning agencies, and working with the Executive Committee of Destination Angels Camp. The position will have part-time, independent consultant status; and the start date is ‘as soon as possible’.

Seeking a business recruitment consultant to support the business recruitment efforts of Destination Angels Camp Development Corporation, a public-private partnership set up to handle economic development for the City of Angels Camp, California.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITES:
Join a dedicated team of volunteer professionals to recruit retail, professional and tourism-related businesses to Angels Camp
Develop and implement strategic action plan for business recruitment
Use and recommend market research data
Develop marketing packages for target businesses
Develop relationships with commercial realtors, commercial developers, corporate re-location specialists, business owners
Network with state, regional and local economic development and planning agencies
Work with and report to the Executive Committee of Destination Angels Camp.
QUALIFICATIONS: Proven experience in business recruitment for cities, retail centers, business improvement associations or similar organizations; Extensive contacts within the California ED industry and with decision makers of targeted industries and business sectors; Strategic thinker with proven ability to develop strategies for targeting business/industrial sectors that would be appropriate for Angels Camp and for marketing to those sectors; Experience in recruiting businesses for a major tourism destination; and Proven experience in using and commissioning market research data to support business recruitment.
