“Garage Sales 4 Gioto” Coming to Arnold in May
Arnold, CA...Good morning! People from around the United States are responding to the call for assistance to the children living at the dump in Kenya. Attached is an announcement of the first “Garage Sales 4 Gioto”. Please let me know what you think of the idea and if you would like to have an event in your neighborhood. We will be hosting one at our home in Arnold on Memorial Day weekend, May 24-26…that’s 100 days away! If you’d like to help set up, have items to donate or would like to pick up some treasures and help a great cause, please let me or my wife know...
Here’s an update:
The first 25 children are attending class, learning to write and color, enjoying nutritious food and water while experiencing the love and care of their teachers. But there is more to do and the need is a bit bigger than first anticipated. There are currently an additional 30 children that are 3 years old that should be in school. We are praying how to bring them into class ASAP. Currently, our need is greater than our level of support.
We are up to 55 likes on our Facebook page. Thank you for liking us! If you haven’t done so, please “like” our page and sign up for the newsfeed for stories, news and updates on how the lives of the children are being impacted by your support and encourage your Facebook Friends to “like” us as well. We’ve posted a new photo album from July 2011 this week, and it’s great to know that many of the children in the album are now attending school!
