Tax Payer Group Marches On With TV Program

Vallecito, CA...The Calaveras County Taxpayers Association continues it's march on. Since its founding well before the Tea Party movement had even been thought of and continuing now with a Taxpayer Alert TV Program. Al Segalla and his merry band of tax vigilantes are present at seemingly every public meeting making sure the Constitution, Private Property Rights and Libertarian views are not swept under the rug of public process. Below is their first program with the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association's Jon Coupal. Additional information is enclosed and a few photos from their recent dinner catered by The Murphys Hotel at Moaning Caverns Park are below.

Our first two programs, playing this week, are interviews with Jon Coupal of HJTA and Senator George Runner of the Board of Equalization. (Click on names to see on YouTube.)

Jon talked about the attacks on Prop 13 and the Fire Tax lawsuit, which he filed against the state. George also discussed the Fire Tax protest procedure and provided other helpful information for the business owner.

We have scheduled back to back taping of the next two 30 minute Taxpayer Alert Video programs for Monday, August 26, 2013, at 5:15 PM at the PATV studio in San Andreas. The first program features an interview with Rebecca Callen, County Auditor/Controller and the second at 5:45, features Richard Fields representing the Pacific Legal Foundation. Rebecca will be discussing our county budget and Richard will talk about some of the recent Supreme Court wins for the Pacific Legal Foundation. Suggestions for questions are most welcome. The Public Access cable TV programs will be shown several times about two weeks after recording.

If all the cable viewers in Calaveras County would see our our program, only 1/2 of the households could be reached. However, if you know anyone interested in taxpayer issues, please forward this, so they would also have a chance to view the programs.

Those interested in being notified about taxpayer issues, or to become a member of CCTA, can sign up by clicking: Join Us!!

A big thank you to Tonja Dausend and the many other volunteers that made this possible.

Best regards. - Al
