Two Legged "Deer" Attack Murphys Nursery and Other Merchants ~By Mike Schmitz

Murphys, CA...Murphys Nursery was hit by the scourge of the two legged deer last night. This morning several of our 3 year old deep red geraniums which are overwintered in the greenhouse were missing. The two legged deer has proven to be quite the pest to various merchants in Murphys trying to beautify the community with volunteer landscaping. It seems nightly the two legged deer forage in droves and the herd must be getting larger as the damage seems to be on the increase every month....

The two legged deer game department has been notified of these problems and hopefully extra patrols will become available when they are not pursuing more important transgressions by the herd in other areas of the county.

Hopefully, a flower stamp program, similar to food stamps, will be made available to the two legged deer herd soon as they seem to be unable to forage for themselves.
