Angelus Ranus 4~H Poultry Show Coming Up April 9th!~With An Up Close and Personal Video Enclosed For Your Viewing Pleasure!
Frogtown, USA....The Angelus Ranus 4-H Youth Poultry Show is coming up on Saturday, April 9th at 7:30~10:30am at the Calaveras County Fairgrounds, Tower Pavilion. Entry Information....
Check In/Coop In...7:30-8:45 a.m.
Judging Begins...9:00 a.m.
Showmanship starts...10:00 a.m.
Entry Fees: $3.00 per bird
Exhibitor Fee: $4.00 per Exhibitor
Showmanship: $5.00 per participating Exhibitor
Silent Auction: starting at 9:00 a.m. through 2:00 p.m.
Drawing and Awards Presentation: following judging of Show Champions
COOP OUT: After completion of Awards Presentation
at approximately 4:00 p.m. NO EARLY COOP OUT, PLEASE!
The Angelus Ranus 4-H Youth Poultry Show is open to all 4-H, FFA and Independent exhibitors 19 years of age and under.
SHOWMANSHIP: The entry fee is $5.00 per exhibitor. Please indicate on your entry form if you wish to participate and include the fee with your completed entry forms. The exhibitor must own the bird used for showmanship.
SALES AREA: An area will be designated, free of charge, for exhibitors who wish to sell show or breeder quality birds. Please do not bring crossbreed birds, hatchery/feed store birds or baby chicks. All birds must be in good health and free of external parasites.
HEALTH: Please be considerate of your fellow exhibitors and their birds. Check your birds for signs of illness and/or parasites BEFORE bringing them to the show. Birds in heavy molt are under a great deal of stress and should be left at home. Show officials and/or judges observing any birds with obvious signs of disease, injury or parasite infestation will eliminate the bird from competition, and the exhibitor must remove the bird from the show area.
EXHIBITOR’S DRAWING: There will be a table of “goodies” again this year just for the exhibitors. For every bird you enter, and for participating in showmanship, you will receive 1 ticket. Write your name on the ticket and put it in the bag representing the item you want a chance to win. At the end of the show, we will have a drawing for the prize winners!
ACTIVITIES Throughout the Day: There will be several activities throughout the day, including a Silent Auction and Obstacle Course. The Calaveras Home and Garden Show will be on the fairgrounds with many vendors, displays, and food booths.
NEW CLASS!: Enter your favorite commercial/hatchery bred, crossbred, or non-standard breed poultry. Birds will be judged on unique qualities and characteristics, and condition. Awards will be given for Best and Reserve “Pet” Poultry. Limited to 2 entries per exhibitor.
