"Play On The Pass" at Ebbetts Pass Scenic Byway Celebration on September 11th, 2010
Arnold-Markleeville, CA...The Ebbetts Pass Scenic Byway Association announced today the line-up for the annual Scenic Celebration. The Scenic Celebration highlights the scenic wonders of the Ebbetts Pass National Scenic Byway. The Ebbetts Pass National Scenic Byway is one of the most scenic drives across California’s Sierra Nevada Mountains and is one of just seven nationally recognized Byways in California....

Locations and tentative activities planned include:
* Arnold- (the Calaveras gateway to the byway) Arnold Rim Trail events, activity booths, food, music, outdoor sports vendors
* Hermit Valley- live music, food and US Forest Service interpretive talks
* Carson River Resort- fly fishing lessons, fish planting, live music, food and more!
* Markleeville - free admission to the Alpine County Museum, live music, Indian tacos and more!
The Ebbetts Pass Scenic Celebration is an annual event for the Ebbetts Pass National Scenic Byway inviting the public to enjoy a number of activities while traveling the scenic byway. Ebbetts Pass Scenic Byway Trivia Passports will be handed out to each participant, free of charge. Passports stamped at either Arnold or Markleeville and at Hermit Valley will have a chance to win one of a variety of great prizes including a season pass to Bear Valley Mountain.

Time: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Location: Ebbetts Pass National Scenic Byway, a 61-mile stretch of Highways 4 and 89, between Arnold in Calaveras County and Markleeville in Alpine County
