Candidates Night For District 3 and More At Independence Hall~ With Complete Video Enclosed
White Pines, CA.... The first big Candidates Night for District 3 Supervisor 2010 took place on Wednesday evening at Independence Hall. The Great Arnold Business Association along with the Calaveras Chamber of Commerce hosted this event. Most of the Candidates for local office were on hand as well, to introduce themselves and make brief speeches near the start of the evening to the standing room only crowd. Once these were completed the meeting moved the heart of the evening which was the debate between Incumbent Merita Callaway & Challengers Bill McMannus & Mary Boblet. The panel was asked some hard questions with the bulk of them centering on county economic issues and what the candidates would do help the county during the current downturn. If you are voting in county elections this is a great video for you to watch as it gives you a chance to see the District 3 Supervisor Candidates and also some of the candidates running for other county offices....
Leslie Davis and Kristi Reesman, Candidate's for County Assessor, were both on hand. Rebecca Callen, Candidate for County Auditor was also present.
The popular seat this political season seems to be County Clerk Recorder, as there are 6 candidates. On hand at this were Anita Paque and Talibah Al Rafiq.
The event was sponsored by the Greater Arnold Business Association & The Calaveras County Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber and GABA member Mark Luster handled the moderating duties for the event...
