Angels Camp, CA.....The hunt to find the great Mark Twain is on! Mark Twain left his name and memories spread throughout all of Calaveras County. Now, it's time to capture the fossils of his record in our county. Mark Twain was a scrap book fanatic. He kept scrap books and journals. Now it is your turn. Collect as many photos of Mark Twain-related objects in Calaveras County as you can and submit your image collection by Thursday, May 13th at 2:00pm to the Fairgrounds, and you could win $100. Judging will be held at 2:00pm on May 13th of the Calaveras County Fair & Jumping Frog Jubilee, in the Tom Sawyer Hall.....
You are not to begin unearthing Mark Twain until April 1st, and you must enter the event by May 1st. So,let the scavengering begin. How many things can you find that mention or show images of Mark Twain in Calaveras County. Visit frogtown.org to get an entry form or stop by the Fair’s administration office.
