Bret Harte High School Student-Parent Open House—Thursday, March 18th, 2010

Bret Harte High School is hosting an open house for current 8th grade students, and parents of students, who will be attending next year. This event will provide students and parents the opportunity to tour the campus, meet with teachers, learn more about elective choices available to freshman, and become familiar with courses and materials incoming students will encounter next year. ....

For students, the event begins at 3:00 p.m. Students who attend Mark Twain or Avery Middle School will have the opportunity to take a bus to Bret Harte providing that a permission form has been signed and returned to the student’s current school by the parents.

Parents are invited to join their son or daughter between 5:00 and 5:30 p.m. for a BBQ dinner and a chance to tour the campus. Teachers from elective and core curriculum departments will be on hand to explain graduation requirements, share materials, and answer questions. The event will end at 7:30 p.m.--transportation home from Bret Harte will not be provided, so parents must ensure they pick up their students. Registration appointments will be made during this event.
