Copper Concert Series featuring The Jeff Watson Band and Diamond Duo
Copperopolis, CA....During the month of September Copperopolis Town Square will host “Copper Concerts,” a series of free live musical performances open to the public. Performing this weekend will be blues aficionados “The Jeff Watson Band” and “Diamond Duo,” known for performing a range of popular music. These two shows will be held Friday, Sept. 11 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. (Jeff Watson Band) and Saturday, Sept. 12 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. (Diamond Duo). For a full September schedule please click HERE. The Jeff Watson Band plays its own popular brand of contemporary blues, and is made up of an eclectic mix of well-seasoned professionals who have traveled the National and International circuit, as well as performing with some of the music industry's elite; BB King, Elvin Bishop, Etta James, Buddy Guy, Johnny Heartman (Blues Hall of Famer), The Willie Nelson Band, Coco Montoya and Tower of Power to mention just a few. Lead by Jeff Watson, an accomplished musician and consummate performer who draws on the heartfelt emotions blues music evokes.
The Diamond Duo -- aka Bobby and Natalia – perform a range of music from the wartime hits of the 1940’s to today’s contemporary hits. Their music spans the decades and includes jazz, pop and country with a few originals sprinkled in.
Since 2006, Copperopolis Town Square has hosted a variety of locally-themed events and festivals including its first-annual Chili Cook-off, Trick of Treat Street Halloween, and Easter Celebration and Food Drive with thousands of dollars in proceeds donated to local organizations.
The bustling Town Square has also added several new businesses and restaurants recently which will please the palette of all diners, joining the dozens of already-established eateries and shops throughout the area.
