Angels Food Market, started by Harry Croshaw, has been serving the Calaveras community since 1935. Glen, Harry's son, eventually took over the store and then passed it along to his son, Mike, who continues to operate it to this day.

Murphys, CA...Deep Thicket Dwellers, a San Francisco Bay Area-based band with ties to Anchorage, Alaska, is a musical ensemble that weaves together bluegrass, gypsy jazz, country, and old-time fiddle music. Emphasizing improvisation, the band blends the charm of traditional tunes with a modern twist that puts them in a genre that can only be described as porch music.

Murphys, CA...Paul Leon Marton Jr. 11/07/1977-06/10/2024. PAUL LEON MARTON JR., known by most as PAULY; Paulywog by his mother, born November 7, 1977, Stockton, CA. Since the age of five Lived in Murphys and Angels Camp, CA, sadly left us too soon June 10, 2024 at the age of 46.
