Funeral Services for Dr. Jay Grimstead on June 12 in Angels Camp
Murphys, CA...Dr. Jay Grimstead February 2, 1935 ~ June 2, 2024 (age 89). Services for Dr. Jay Grimstead will be June 12 at the Bret Harte theater. From Guy Grimstead.. Yesterday morning another Saint went Marchin' In. My wonderful father, Dr. Jay Grimstead peacefully entered paradise. He's now blowin' his trumpet in Gabriel's band! His was a life well lived to the fullest. If you knew the man, please try to join us for a celebration of his life on Wednesday, June 12th at the Bret Harte Theater in Angels Camp, Cailfornia. 9:30am for a viewing; 11am service then a 3pm graveside ceremony.
I've tried to call most of his close friends to alert them of his passing, If I missed you, please forgive me.
If you can't make the event a week from Wednesday, it will be live streamed at the link below (which also has all the particulars).
I'll soon post here a Google RSVP form to give us an idea of an attendance number.
I haven't seen many of you for a long while, and it would be great to reconnect, to share stories of the man, the myth, the Grimmy and to hug a lot of necks.
